Acción, en la que un tatuador profesional (Coque Pellejo), después de rasurarme el pelo de la cabeza, me tatúa en la parte derecha de la misma, la frase: The Physical Impossibi-lity of Death in the Mind of Someone Living¹, que es también el título de una conocida obra de Damien Hirst, y que traducido al español dice: “La imposibilidad física de la muerte en la mente de algo vivo”.

La acción se ejecutó en la capilla del museo Barjola, de cara al público, en los días previos a la inauguración (el 21 de marzo).

La acción se grabó en vídeo y una vez concluido el tatuaje, un fotógrafo profesional retrato al autor, en la misma postura en la que retrataron a Javier Núñez Gasco para su obra Copyright². El vídeo y el retrato se mostraron en la exposición.

¹La imposibilidad física de la muerte en la mente de algo vivo, es una escultura del artista inglés Damien Hirst, hecha en 1991. Consiste en un tiburón tigre suspendido en un estanque transparente con solución de aldehído fórmico al 5%. Tuvo un precio de 9,5 millones de euros, pagados por el millonario estadounidense Steve Cohen.

Consiste en una fotografía de su cabeza tatuada con la inscripción “© Forever: Javier Núñez Gasco”. El artista intentaba reclamar derechos de autoría sobe sus ideas pasadas, presentes y futuras.

Action, in which a professional tattoo artist (Coque Pellejo), after shaving the hair on my head, tattooed on the right side of my head the phrase: The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living¹, which is also the title of a well-known work by Damien Hirst, and which translated into Spanish says: «La imposibilidad física de la muerte en la mente de algo vivo».

The action takes place in the chapel of the Barjola museum, facing the public, in the days prior to the inauguration (on March 21).

The action was recorded on video and once the tattoo was finished, a professional photographer took a portrait of the author, in the same pose in which Javier Núñez Gasco was portrayed for his work Copyright². The video and the portrait were shown in the exhibition.

¹The physical impossibility of death in the mind of something living, is a sculpture by the English artist Damien Hirst, made in 1991. It consists of a tiger shark suspended in a transparent pool of 5% formic aldehyde solution. It was priced at 9.5 million euros, paid for by the American millionaire Steve Cohen.
