En su momento, Robert Rauschenberg le solicitó un dibujo a Willen De Kooning, artista al que admiraba, para borrarlo y así hacerlo también suyo (Eraser Willen De Kooning By Robert Rauschenberg, 1953. 64,14 x 55,25 cm.). Yo por mi parte le plantee hacer lo contrario a Isidoro Valcarcel Medina (artista al que admiro), es decir, que yo le mandaba un dibujo mío para que él lo borrase y una vez borrado me lo devolviera. Él aceptó.
En cuanto al dibujo que yo le envié a Isidoro, se trata de un folio A4 escrito a lápiz. Uno de tantos donde anoto mis pensamientos: los libros que leo, los subrayados y comentarios que me sugieren, impresiones sobre otros artistas, las ocurrencias de ideas para nuevas piezas, el desarrollo de esas ideas, etc. En concreto el que recoge la nota dónde se describe esta misma ocurrencia. Estas notas, de un tiempo a esta parte las considero dibujos.
El resultado final se enmarcó con un marco y un cartel, parecidos a los utilizados por R. Rauchenberg.

At the time, Robert Rauschenberg requested a drawing from Willen De Kooning, an artist he admired, to erase it and thus make it his own (Eraser Willen De Kooning By Robert Rauschenberg, 1953. 64.14 x 55.25 cm.). For my part, I proposed doing the opposite to Isidoro Valcarcel Medina (an artist I admire), that is, I sent him a drawing of mine so that he could erase it and once it had been erased, he would return it to me. He accepted.
As for the drawing that I sent Isidoro, it is an A4 sheet of paper written in pencil. One of many where I write down my thoughts: the books I read, the highlights and comments that they suggest to me, impressions on other artists, the occurrences of ideas for new pieces, the development of those ideas, etc. Specifically, the one that includes the note where this same occurrence is described. These notes, for some time now I consider them drawings.
The end result was framed with a frame and poster, similar to those used by R. Rauchenberg.
